Mon 20 Nov, 19:30: Elizabeth Trew was born in Cape Town and spent many exiled years in England before returning in 1991. She has a BA Hons from the University of East Anglia, UK and an MA in English Education from Wits. Her poems have appeared in numerous South African poetry journals and anthologies, selections in ISISx and Prodigal Daughters: Stories of South African Women in Exile, edited by Lauretto Ncgobo. Her debut collection, My mother the seal is being launched on 29 November at Claremont Exclusives. A former librarian and adult education teacher, she language-edits and helps at a shelter for girls in Cape Town.
