Keith Oliver Lewis is an award-winning poet from Smartie Town, Paarl. With his writing, Keith aims to reimagine the forgotten histories of brown people. In 2021, Keith won the National Library of South Africa Slam Poetry Competition. His work is longlisted for the Sol Plaatje European Union Award. Keith has been published in Yesterdays and Imagining Realities, New Contrast Literary Magazine, Ons Klyntjie Zine, and elsewhere. He was a writing fellow at the Johannesburg Institute of Advanced Studies, Jakes Gerwel Foundation and FicSci 03. Keith is also the winner of the 2023 Short.Sharp.Stories Prize.
