Keith Gottschalk has had over 150 poems published in New Contrast, New Coin, Stanzas, Jewish Affairs, many other magazines, and on the conference programme of the SA Institute of Physics. He also performed his poems live at meetings and rallies throughout the 1980s struggle years. His first collection, Emergency Poems, was published in 1992. His most recent collection, Cosmonauts do it in heaven, is currently available. Keith was a founder member of The Congress of South African Writers (COSAW), and served on its executive. He chairs the volunteers who run Off the Wall Poetry, hosts the monthly Lansdowne Local Writers' workshop, and serves on the board of New Contrast literary journal.
