Karin Schimke is a Cape Town writer, editor and translator. Her first book of poems, Bare & Breaking, won the Ingrid Jonker prize for a debut collection and was a runner-up in the South African Literary Awards poetry prize. Her second collection, called Navigate was published in 2017.
