Ian Bell is a musician, educator, author, radio broadcaster and medical
doctor who has worked in the Emergency Units of many hospitals in SA
and the UK over the past 32 years. For 24 years he has presented a weekly
Blues-based program on community station Bush Radio and is beginning
to get the hang of it.
He has written poetry since an early age, encouraged by being given a prize
for this, as a schoolboy, by Alan Paton. He is currently assembling his
first collection. Musically, he plays guitar and sings as part of the duo
Further Ado with partner Dawn Garisch, who last year spent six weeks
busking in the streets of Europe from which they've made an almost
