Gaireyah has self-published 7 collections of her poems and stories, participated in all our local literary festivals and won awards as Best Actress and for Best Script in local drama competitions. She was runner-up in the Afrikaans category of the 2018 AVBOB Poetry Competition nationwide and she won the Nal'ibali Story Bosso children's storytelling competition provincially. The Wellington Station festival has honoured her for her contribution in developing Kaaps. She just obtained her BA Honours Afrikaans at UWC.
