Finuala Dowling began her writing career 20 years ago with a small collection of poems entitled I Flying which went on to win the Ingrid Jonker prize. Since them she has published five more collections of poetry and six novels, the most recent being The Man Who Loved Crocodile Tamers. Finuala has taught at many institutions including Unisa and UCT and written many educational guides, textbooks and courses. She currently designs and teaches her own creative writing courses.
