Archie Swanson’s poems have been published in Stanzas, New Contrast, the Best New African Poetry and Schonstein’s Africa anthologies, and Spanish newspaper, El Mundo. He has been shortlisted for the Sol Plaatje Award and UK Bridport Prize and placed second in the 2019 AVBOB Poetry Competition (English). He’s a past Chair of the South African Literary Journal and originator of the National Poetry Prize. Several poems have been set to music by Grant McLachlan.
