Adré Marshall was born in the Eastern Cape and now lives in Cape Town. She has taught English at various universities including UCT, where she was awarded a Ph.D. Her poetry has been published in numerous journals, including New Contrast, English Academy Review and Stanzas, and anthologies such as Absolute Africa!, and the Sol Plaatjie anthology. She has appeared as guest poet at the McGregor Poetry Festival and other events and is the author of a book on Henry James. Now retired, she does translation work and enjoys having more time for reading, writing and walking in the fynbos. Join Zoom Meeting If our featured poet agrees, their reading is recorded.
